Why so much hype??

I am kind of tired of listening to the cricket Semi final between Pakistan and India now, some call it the clash of civilizations, the other call it a war. But in my opinion, we should let the game be a game.... obviously being a Pakistani I want Pakistan team to win the game, but making it a war against each other is not the way it should be.
Every TV channel has the same news all over, Okay! i know its a big thing but shouldn't we also think that anything is possible in a game? Last night I was watching a program at one of the leading news channels of our country, in which they had cricket professionals from India and Pakistan, constantly passing comments about their team winning and praising their boys. Isn't that just for generating a good ranking for the channel? They speak on the game as if the other team isn't competent enough, obviously both the teams have the skills that is why they both have reached the semi-finals, then what is the point of passing remarks about other team skills and what they are able to do?
On the other hand, both the countries' nation has so much high hopes from their teams that if their team lost it will become a matter of life and death for them. So the weak hearts should be carefull as no one knows what results they may witness... Our captain, Afridi is also of the opinion that this should be treated as a game only and I think he advised this to both the countries' politicians also.
A very funny thing I came across was that both the countries never agree on any single thing, be it the Kashmir issue, or water disputes or whatever big or small, but finally they have agreed on having a holiday the same day and they are united to shut their offices down today!! ;-)
